DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police have arrested a third person in connection with the brutal beating of a passenger that occurred on a DART train on Sunday, July 30th.

The girl, a juvenile, was seen wearing red in a video of the fight posted to social media. DART officials said the she was taken to Dallas County’s Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Center.

Two brothers, Jakobi and Remon Hendrix, were arrested last Friday for their alleged involvement in the attack against Kennan Jones, who was beaten by at least seven people.

Jakobi Hendrix is charged of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Remon Hendrix is charged with misdemeanor assault.

Investigators said the fight started after Jones asked a group of teenagers to stop smoking weed on a southbound Green Line train.

During the attack, Jones suffered a black eye, sore knees and bruised ribs.

Police are still searching for the other individuals who investigators believe were involved in the beating.

Since the attack, DART has increased security.

“DART police are increasing their presence during the evening hours not only at the Deep Ellum station where this incident occurred but also at the Baylor station since both of those stations are in the Deep Ellum area,” said DART’s Mark Ball.
