The hot car deaths of two small children have been ruled homicides

Weatherford (WBAP/KLIF) – The medical examiner has ruled the deaths of two Weatherford area children who were deliberately left in a sweltering hot car last May were homicides. Two year old Juliet Ramirez and her 16 month old brother were shut inside the car by their mother, who said she was trying to teach them a lesson. The toddlers died in the car at their home near Lake Weatherford, as the temperature hit 96 degrees. Their mother, 25 year old Cynthia Randolph, told investigators she was sleeping inside the house after smoking marijuana. She was arrested in June on an injury-to-a-child charge. The Parker County District Attorney will now decide if the charge will be upgraded to murder.
