Wrong-way drivers kill four in two separate accidents

Corsicana (WBAP/KLIF) – Four people were killed late Wednesday night in a pair of north Texas, head-on traffic accidents. Three occupants of the same vehicle were killed when they were hit head-on by a wrong way driver on I-45 near Corsicana. Three following vehicles then piled into the wreckage. The wrong-way driver and a passenger were hospitalized in serious condition.

In the other fatal collision a speeding motorcyclist who may have been street racing was killed in Qak Cliff. Investigators say 29 year old Courtney Goodwin was eastbound on Groveview Drive at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line, and slammed head-on into an approaching car. He was dead at the scene. Witnesses told police the pickup truck he seemed to be racing did not stop, and left the area at a high rate of speed.
