(WBAP/KLIF) – Senator John Cornyn has put forth a plan to help fund a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Building America’s Trust Act would give $15-billion over four years to what Cornyn says are the three levels of security.
“Tactical infrastructure, including wall systems and fencing and the like, technology like aerostats, like drones, like sensors, and then third, and perhaps low-tech, is personnel,” said Cornyn.
The bill also ends what is known as catch and release and also prohibits sanctuary cities.
Senator Cornyn hopes to begin hearings on the proposal in September.
