
GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF News) – As temperatures hit 101 degrees Thursday afternoon, firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire at a drag strip in Grand Prairie.
The fire broke out at the Yello Belly Drag Strip in the 6000 block of West Davis Street near Main.
Crews from Dallas Fire Rescue and the Grand Prairie Fire Department responded to the scene.
The Grand Prairie Fire Department it started as a grass fire and spread to tires. The smoke can be seen for miles.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
