The Salvation Army’s summer cooling stations are now open

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The salvation Army’s Summer Heat Relief Program kicks into gear today with the opening of 13 cooling stations across the metroplex. The cooling stations are intended to provide life-saving relief for the homeless, those who have no air conditioning, and those who must work outside. As their name implies the cooling stations provide a cool environment, and plenty of water. The Salvation Army says those who need them are invited to stay all day if they wish.
