Construction Worker Rescued from Trench at Dallas Country Club

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A construction worker was rescued Monday after being stuck in a trench at a North Dallas country club.

“A trench was being dug and at some point one of the walls of the trench collapsed and a worker was trapped inside,” said Firefighter Jason Evans.

Evans said crews slowly dug around the man to alleviate pressure on his lower body.

“We hoped that as the pressure was gradually released it would minimize any effects that it may have due to the pressure.”

Crews worked for nearly two hours to extract the construction worker who was responsive throughout the entire rescue. He was transported to the hospital  in stable condition.
