WACO (WBAP/KLIF News) – Two Waco-area high school students were arrested for allegedly plotting to poison an assistant principal.
The Lorena Police Department said the girls’ alleged plan to poison the assistant principal at Lorena High School, just south of Waco, was foiled by a substitute teacher who overheard the girls discussing it.
According to the Waco-Times Herald, the teacher told investigators both Kelly Lynn Prator and Shelbi Grace Gill, talked about how to avoid getting caught and what types of undetectable substances they should use.
The tipster told investigators both Kelly Lynn Prator and Shelbi Grace Gill are charged with making a terroristic threat.
Police said the assistant principal had warned one of the girls after she violated school policy by leaving the campus without permission, before the alleged threats were made.
