Dallas County Congressman Holds Onto His Seat By a Few Dozen Votes

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – After a contested election, a Dallas County congressman held onto his House seat by a few dozen votes.

Incumbent Republican Rodney Anderson and his Democratic Challenger Terry Meza fought hard for House District 105, which covers parts of Irving and Grand Prairie.

After the election, Meza requested a recount which began Monday. She trailed Anderson by 64 votes after the provisional ballots were counted last week.

Meza said she conceded Tuesday night because she felt the recount wouldn’t change the results of the election.

It will be the third term for Representative Anderson, who was elected to the house in 2014.
