Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Next Generation Action Network is known for their anti-police brutality rallies and marches, but tonight, they rallied at the American Airlines Center to oppose President-Elect Donald Trump.

Before the rally began, Chief of Staff David Villalobos said in the future, their protests could run the gamut from peaceful and calm, to disobedient, depending on the circumstances.

“If we feel like our civil disobedience needs to be heightened up for any particular reason, we’ll take part in such actions,” said Villalobos.  “But of course, we don’t want to just do something in order to do it, we need to have a strategy session with the community to see where we go from here.”

Several speakers took turns talked to the crowd, often using profanity in their calls for civil disobedience.  Speakers called for gun control, for an end to what they call persecution of Muslims, illegals and the LGBT community, and one called for a Socialist revolution.  At one point, the crowd burst into cheers for former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.   At several points, the crowd broke into cheers of “F*** Trump”.

The rally drew a few hundred participants.  After about an hour and a half of speeches at the American Airlines Center, the group marched off into downtown Dallas.  It wrapped up about 10:30 back at the AAC, with Next Generation founder Dominique Alexander calling on protesters to organize, boycott, and get involved with local and state issues.
