Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF News) – A 10-year-old girl had to undergo surgery after she was shot in the face during a fight outside a Fort Worth store. She’s expected to survive.
Investigators said the girl and her family were leaving Kim’s Food Mart on East Berry Street near South Hughes Avenue Saturday night when someone in another car drove up and got into a physical fight with members of her family.
They said a woman went across the street to a car wash, came back with a gun and opened fire before taking off.
Authorities said it’s not clear whether the suspect and the girl’s family knew each other. They said they have a person of interest, but so far, no one has been charged.
