Alpine (WBAP/KLIF News) – Authorities searched landfills in Alpine, Presidio and Odessa for evidence in the disappearance of Zuzu Verk, a Sul Ross University student, over the weekend.
Since Verk’s disappearance, crews from multiple law enforcement agencies searched throughout Brewster County, with a heavy concentration in Presidio County, near the Mexico border.
Verk vanished earlier this month and was last seen by her boyfriend, Robert Fabian, who is now a suspect.
Alpine Police said Fabian has been uncooperative with investigators. Fabian’s mother and sister and friend Chris Estrada are considered persons of interest.
The reward for information leading to Verk’s whereabouts is now one-hundred thousand dollars.
