Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – State Farm Insurance and Canary Home Security are teaming up to say thanks to DART police officers.
Chief JD Spiller says his 300 officers appreciate the Canary wireless home security systems they were given, because it’ll allow them to focus better on protecting passengers, and themselves.
“When you’re a police officer, you’re thinking about safety all the time,” said Spiller. “Not just your own safety when you’re on the street, but your family when they’re back at home, and to include your pets. In some cases, you just want to see what’s happening in and around your home.”
The canary system is completely wireless, and sends messages and updates via smartphone. Today’s presentation was part of State Farm’s “Protecting the Protectors” program.
