Irving Couple Uses Child to Steal From Beauty Stores Across the Metroplex

beauty-theftIrving  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Irving police are looking for thieves who have been using a child to steal from beauty supply stores across the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

Police said surveillance video captured the man and woman stealing from stores in Irving, Euless, Arlington, Mansfield and Rockwall.

Investigators said the suspects have been stealing from the stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply for almost a year. They said the most recent theft was last week.

The Irving Police Departments James McLellan said one of the videos shows a child being used as an accomplice to the crimes. “The child had merchandise and she was passing them to an adult lady as she was putting them into a large purse. On another occasion, an adult male suspect apparently used her as a means to screen his body as he walked out the door after having concealed something fairly bulky under his clothing, ” he said.

He said he’s worried about what the suspects might do to the child if they are approached by officers.

“They’re prone to doing dangerous things. If these suspects in our case where to take off when they’re confronted by officers then that would expose that child to danger,” he said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to call their department.
