Search Warrants Reveal New Information in the Death of Prominent Dallas Attorney

ira-tobolowskyDallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Search warrants released by Dallas police shed light into some of the evidence collected in the investigation of Ira Tobolowsky’s death.

The family of the popular attorney, who was found burned to death in his garage in May, believes someone had drilled holes in his fence to watch Tobolowsky without being noticed.

The search warrant states that investigators searched a Dallas apartment before they were notified about the holes in Tobolowsky’s fence. They took a drill, drill bits, propane can, gans cans and a pipe cutter from the apartment during a second search.

Tobolowsky’s death was officially ruled a homicide in August. The Dallas County Medical Examiner said he died of blunt force trauma, thermal burns and smoke inhalation.

Tobolowsky was involved with a trial at the time of his death. Police said he received an email threatening to kill him a few weeks before he died. The family offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in June. So far, no arrests have been made.
