Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – Today is the very last day to get registered to vote in the November 8th elections, and Secretary of State Carlos Cascos is sending out a message…hurry and get it done. He says registrations are up statewide.
“We’ve got about 14.9 million registered voters already, that’s the most I think we’ve ever had,” said Cascos. “I just hope it translates into voter turnout. But people are excited, could be the presidential race, could be the down-ballot races.”
As long as your application has a postmark with today’s date, you’re good to go. But Cascos says remember to check the collection time of the mailbox you drop it into. If the mail’s already been collected, you may have to hand deliver it to the county elections department.
