Community Plans Online Vigil for Missing Fort Worth Woman

christina morrisPlano (WBAP/KLIF News) – Today marks a painful two-year anniversary for the family of Christina Morris, who disappeared two years ago. Tonight family, friends and strangers will gather online to honor her. She was last seen on surveillance video with Enrique Arochi, an old high school acquaintance.

Family friend Tanya Garrett said since Christina’s disappearance, a growing number of people have rallied around the Morris family.”When you get something that touches your heart, for whatever reason you just go with it. For some reason, people can’t let go of this,” she said.

Garret said it’s been an emotionally draining time for the family. So, supporters are meeting on Facebook for a candle light vigil to honor a woman whose heartbreaking story made an impact on everyone she knew. “She always wanted to change the world. I wish she would have changed the world in a different way but this is how she has done it,” said Garret.

The online vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. They are using the hashtag Candles for Christina. Arochi pleaded not guilty to aggravated kidnapping and claims he doesn’t know what happened to Christina. His trial starts next week.
