Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Fort Worth Police Department arrested eight men in a sexual predator sting operation. The men thought they were chatting with a 13-year-old but is was actually an undercover officer. The detectives with the Fort Worth’s Crimes Against Children Unit used various online sites to catch the predators over a three-day period last week.
Police said on eight different occasions, the person on the other end of the exchange made plans to meet with the young teen at a Fort Worth residence for a sexual encounter. When they arrived, police were waiting and arrested them.
Seven of the suspects were arrested for online solicitation of a minor. The eighth suspect faces a charge of prostitution/solicitation for allegedly offering the teen $50 in exchange for sex. Both charges are second-degree felonies and are punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
