WASHINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) The man who shot president Ronald Reagan is being released from the facility where he has been treated for decades. John Hinckley Jr. was found “not guilty by reason of insanity” after attempting the assassination back in 1981. He will go to live with his mother, in Williamsburg, VA, but she is 90 years old. Dallas attorney Quentin Brogdon says when she passes away, Hinckley will have a sum of about $500,000 from his mother to live on. He is now 61 years old and has applied to work at several fast food restaurants but has been denied employment at all of them. Under the conditions of his release, he will have to volunteer to work 3 times a week, he cannot be active on social media, and he cannot be in contact with the President, Jodie Foster or any of his victims. Hinckley will likely be released next Friday.
