DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer was one of the people killed in Thursday night’s shooting following a Black Lives Matter rally in Downtown Dallas.
The agency says 43 year old Brent Thompson is the first DART Officer killed in the line of duty. He joined the department in 2009.
Officers Omar Cannon, Misty McBride and Jesus Retana were also injured in the ambush. They are expected to recover from their injuries.
