They’re Gonna Party Like It’s 1936

IMAG0408[1]Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – The State Fair of Texas is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Centennial Exposition at Dallas’ Fair Park.

Fair Park has been hosting the State Fair since 1886, and has grown to play an important role in the North Texas economy.

“There are different economic impacts that are floating around,” said Karissa Condoianis with the State Fair.  “I’ve seen them range from $50 million, to more than $600 million dollars.”

The celebration runs from 10:00 ‘til 10:00 each day, from now ‘til Saturday.  The celebration will feature free tours at the park’s museums and aquarium, Midway games at night, free rides on the Texas Star Ferris wheel and Top of Texas Tower, and yes, Fletcher’s Corny Dogs.
