
(WBAP/KLIF News) Some companies are using your cell phone to track your every move. Say you stop at a store, pay cash, don’t hand out your email, and even have your phone off. No one should ever know you were there, right? Think again. Your cell phone company is in cahoots with advertisers to track your movements so they know what ads you should see. Dr. Christopher Copeland is a local cyber expert in Fort Worth. He says use of the technology is only unlawful if it’s outside the scope of the control of your wireless provider. Otherwise, it’s legal. You likely signed an agreement with your wireless provider that releases all kinds of personal information to third parties.
