Patrolman David Hofer died earlier this week after responding to a call about shots fired at J-A Carr park.
The gunman was hiding in a drainage ditch and apparently waiting to ambush responders.
22-year-old Jorge Gonzales was killed by other cops.
The memorial will be at 1 p-m Saturday afternoon at Pennington Field on Central Drive in Bedford.
The 29-year-old officer was single but engaged to be married.
