AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – It will be next month before the Texas Public Utility Commission signs off on a plan to “bury the lines” in Frisco.
The panel delayed a final decision on a proposed agreement between the city and Brazos Electric Cooperative.
After months of negotiations, new high-voltage power lines would be buried along West Main Street to a new transmission station on King Road. Homeowners and businesses in the area claimed “above ground” lines would drive down property values.
The PUC says it needs more information before signing off on the deal.
