New Abortion Arguments

Abortion 1WASHINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – A short-staffed U-S Supreme Court will again take up the case of abortion restrictions in Texas.

Arguments for both sides will be presented Wednesday in Washington D-C.

Clinics across the Lone Star State are fighting a number of legislative mandates, from a requirement doctors have admitting privileges at local hospitals to meeting the same standards as surgical centers.

Currently Texas has only 10-abortion clinics in a state with more than five (m) million women of reproductive age.

A four-to-four vote would leave the current Texas law intact. There are only eight justices after the unexpected death of Antonin Scalia on February 13th.
