An Apartment Fire Leaves One Dead

BEDFORD (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – The Bedford Fire Department is investigating the death of a resident at an apartment complex after an early Tuesday morning fire.

Deputy Fire Chief James Richardson says fire fighters responded to the apartment near Tennis Drive and Bedford Road after 4:00 this morning after someone smelled smoke.

“We did see a little bit of smoke coming out of the eaves of the apartment. It took a little time to locate the actual apartment itself and found the fire inside.”

Investigators don’t know how the fire started.
