Don’t Let the Media or the Establishment Trick You

Be warned.  The media want to create an image of the GOP that simply isn’t true.  It wants to trick Hispanics into believing that Republicans hate them.  The narrative that Donald Trump is hurting, damaging, even destroying the Republican Party is non-sense.

Liberals and even establishment Republicans have miscalculated a very important fact.  Legal immigrants, especially the ones who are eligible to vote, are offended by illegal immigration.   They actually despise it.  They look at illegals as cheats, who gamed an overly complicated system.  A system that legal immigrants spent years working through and abiding by.  How do I know this?  They tell me every day when they call into the show.

While liberals pander to a portion of the Hispanic community that may make up a future voting block, the illegals here NOW cannot vote (at least for now).  That means no matter how upset they get about Trump’s or anyone’s comments about illegal immigration it will not have any affect on the election.  This is a fact that the GOP needs to realize.

Ultra-liberal Hispanic Americans will never vote for the GOP nominee.  Conservative leaning Hispanics will.  As for independent Hispanic voters, they’ll look to a presidential nominee who will ensure a secure job will be easy to come by.   Job growth comes with a strong economy.  Hillary Clinton and her party’s failed policies simply can’t make the jobs promise come true.  Many Hispanics know that.  Thanks in large part to President Obama’s stagnant economy.

It’s a mistake to think GOP candidates shouldn’t talk tough on immigration.  They should! And they should be blunt and to the point.  The reason? Because the illegal immigration problems our nation is experiencing are very real.  From crime, to illegals overwhelming our hospitals, to sex and drug trafficking, it all exists.

Instead of promising amnesty, Republicans need to promise a secure fenced border with a new immigration system that will be easy to navigate.  A new simplified system that makes it easy for hardworking, law-abiding migrants to make their way to the greatest nation in the world in a timely, cost effective fashion.  That change alone will garner much of the Hispanic vote no matter how tough anyone talks about the need to stop criminals from crossing our southern border.
