Grant’s Rant: “Donald Trump Has Them All Scared”

Let me make this very clear.  The Republican Establishment is afraid of Donald Trump.  How do I know this?  The answer is simple, because they are on the attack.  Republican politicians are now vilifying Trump for his comments about illegals flooding our border.  The sad part is, Republicans like Perry, Rubio, and Jeb Bush are distorting, and even lying about Trump’s comments.

When career politicians who are supposed to be front-runners find themselves trailing a newcomer, they will aim to destroy that challenger.  This is what’s going on inside the Republican Party now.  Perry, Rubio and Bush don’t care what Trump said, they only care about his lofty position in the polls.  Sadly, they will say or do anything to knock him down.  They despise what they believe to be the arrogance of anyone who dares challenge them, the anointed ones.  Yes, Republicans have some of those too.

Only Sen. Ted Cruz has come to Trumps defense.  This should be another sign that you should not buy into the war main stream Republicans are waging against the brash and bold entrepreneur turned presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

Get ready for a primary like no other.  The villianization of Donald Trump is proof that you can no longer rely on getting the straight scoop from anyone, including conservative media outlets.  Not even the candidate you thought you could once trust.  It’s a warning to do your own homework.

Here is exactly what Donald Trump said about Mexicans illegally entering the United States, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best,” he said during the announcement. “They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they’re telling us what we’re getting.”

Read that statement carefully.  Is that what you “heard” he said, either on Facebook, Twitter or even from the mouth of the former Governor of Texas?  I imagine the answer is no.  What you probably heard was that he called ALL Mexicans rapists.  I would agree Trump should have substituted the word “some” with “many are good people.”  But the scope and essence of his statements are unarguably true.  The only reason so many Republicans are running from Trumps comments is because they are jealous of Trump’s sudden surge in the polls.

Trump is arrogant, you could even describe him as an A-hole, but he is also right. His detractors should be ashamed of claiming anything different.
