Thailand (AP) – A Cabinet minister in Thailand says at least 20 people have been killed and 31 injured in a mass shooting. The gunman, described by police as a soldier angry over a land dispute, holed up in a popular shopping mall in northeastern Thailand. Police say they now have secured the mall.

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul says there are no more bodies left inside the building. But he says, “we don’t know whether there are any additional injuries or deaths or not.” He did not say whether the shooter had been found.

Associated Press BANGKOK (AP) – An emergency worker in Thailand says a soldier has shot multiple people, killing at least 16, and is holed up in a popular shopping mall in a large northeastern city. A police officer says the soldier initially shot dead another soldier and a woman, and wounded a third person, apparently over a land dispute. Police say the man took a gun from his base and drove to the mall, where shooting continued. Video taken outside the mall  shows people taking cover in a parking lot as gunshots are fired. It isn’t clear whether the gunman has taken hostages inside the mall or how many people might still be inside.
