An ‘Active Shooter’ Call Ended Peacefully in Far North Dallas

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police officers responded to an ‘active-shooter-on-foot’ call in far North Dallas last night.

Undercover police arrived first to the 18700 block of Lina street around 9:30 to find a woman firing a weapon.

Uniformed Dallas police officers arrived shortly afterward and gave loud verbal commands. Police say the suspect responded by firing her gun again, at which time one officer discharged his weapon.

Police say the woman then surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

She was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
