COLLIN COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF)- The Collin County Sheriffs Department launches an app to provide real time updates and information to citizens. The Mobile App is free and is now available for download, in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Sergeant Jessica Pond says the app allows easy access to the most important features of their website including access to the inmate roster, jail information as well as navigation to their Most Wanted and Sex Offenders lists. “With the notifications settings on the app, people will get an alert in real time on their phones for a missing persons report or anything that we need the publics assistance with,” Pond said. Pond said users can also engage with the app by anonymously submitting crime tips, including photos to the Sheriff’s office. Pond said this is another way for the department to provide transparency, while allowing citizens to tale an active role in the community.
