DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News) — An online diploma mill is falsely claiming Denton as its home base.
It’s branded as “Denton University” and claims to offer life experience degrees, ranging from associates to doctoral and costing as much as $999 for all four degrees.
Its listed address, however, is that of a TA Travel Center.
The Denton Record Chronicle reports the so-called university also claims to be accredited by the Accrediting Commission of International Colleges and Universities, or ACICU. But ACICU is not a recognized accrediting body for universities.
Records mentioned in the report show Denton University is not accredited.
