Plano (WBAP/KLIF) – With Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us officially closing their doors this past Sunday, new employment for the former employees may be just around the corner.
Plano-based Main Event Entertainment is hosting a hiring fair through May 18th, and is inviting former Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us employees to apply.
In a statement, Main Events Rhonda Merchant said, “With the recent closures, we saw an opportunity to turn a challenging situation into something positive for the retail brand’s talented employees.”
The fair is called a “Play and Apply Open House” and runs from 10am to 8pm through Friday.
Anyone interested can fill out a form on Main Events website: mainevent.com, whe the company tells former Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us employees “You’ve been making birthdays, holidays and everyday special for years — why should you stop now?
