MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) – A tragic shooting at a home in Muskogee, Oklahoma claimed the live of six people, including five young children, overnight.
Tulsa Police said officers responding a shots fired call at the house around 1:30 a.m. encountered an armed individual.
Officers found one man and four children dead, a fifth child died at a Tulsa hospital.
The suspect was taken into custody.
Muskogee Police Officer Lynn Hamlin said investigators haven’t discovered the motive but do not believe any other suspects are involved.
A woman was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injures.
Authorities have not released the name of the suspect or any details about the people who died.
Muskogee is about 45 miles Southeast of Tulsa.
