Plano, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A freak accident claimed the life of a man in Plano on New Year’s Eve.
Party-goers reportedly discovered the 64-year old victim lying in the middle of the street outside a home on Williams Way. When police arrived, they initially thought the man had been shot due to his extensive head injuries.
It was determined that he was run over by his own truck after retrieving something from the vehicle.
Plano Police Officer Andrae Smith said, “Somehow the truck began to move striking the victim,” according to WFAA-TV.
