Dallas, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Fire-Rescue crews are still on the scene putting out hot spots of an apartment fire that broke out overnight. The 2-alarm blaze at the Asante Apartments in southeast Dallas left some needed families without some donated Christmas gifts.
The fire forced the cancellation of a charity event that was to be helf by a non-profit which operates at the complex. Food and gifts for 54 families, along with a computer lab went up in flames in the blaze which broke out 1AM.
A Christmas party was planned by the Quest 4 Greater Success organization in the complex community center.
