DALLAS (KLIF/WBAP) — Forty-Five years to the day after the final Apollo mission landed on the moon, President Trump announced the US will soon be heading back there.
He made the announcement as he signed Space Policy Directive 1, which promises to focus more attention on lunar missions, and to colonizing Mars.
This isn’t just a NASA-led initiative. Instead, the agency will lean on several billionaire-run space companies to meet their objectives.
No word yet on a price tag for Space Policy Directive 1, nor is there any funding set aside for the plan.
