COPPELL (WBAP/KLIF News) — The City of Coppell is confirming the presence of West Nile Virus found in one of its mosquito traps.
The virus was found in a trap near Villawood Lane, a few blocks away from Austin Elementary School, Mockingbird Elementary, and Coppell Middle School East.
As a result, crews will be spraying Tuesday night and Wednesday night starting at 9:00, lasting through 5:00 in the morning.
The city says to make sure you stay indoors while the spraying takes place and to make sure to drain standing water to prevent the virus from cultivating.
