AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas health officials have decided to revise a pamphlet doctors are required to give women seeking abortions.
According to the Texas Tribune, a number of sections in the original handout are wrong.
A new draft doubles down on information contested by some medical experts and the pro-choice community.
The booklet was mandated by a 2003 anti-abortion law intended to guarantee informed consent from women seeking the procedure.
It contains information on the developmental stages of a fetus, the risks of abortion and other options for pregnant women.
