DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office might make an announcement next week on when DA Susan Hawk will return.
Hawk has been away from the office for about nine weeks. She is getting another round of psychiatric help in Arizona. It’s the third time she has sought treatment for depression since being elected in 2014, and her current term expires at the end of 2018.
Some people have called for Hawk to step down while others have praised her for her honesty and transparency.
If Hawk resigns after August 19th, the governor would name a replacement to serve out her term. If she quits before then, an election would be called.
