DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The memorial for the fallen Dallas Police Officers outside Dallas Police Headquarters is coming down Sunday.
The Dallas Police Department is teaming with the Dallas Public Library to preserve the memorial.
All handwritten messages and non-perishable items will be documented, preserved and stored in the library’s History and Archives Collection.
The goal is so members of the community and future Dallas residents will be able to see it.
One Dallas police squad car and one Dallas Area Rapid Transit squad car have been parked for the past week outside the Jack Evans Building at Lamar and Belleview.
Teddy bears, cards, flowers and candles have spread as members of the community offer their prayers for the five officers killed.
