FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – A man who was no-billed by a grand jury in the shooting of a Fort Worth police officer could be released from jail.
Ed McIver Jr.’s attorneys argued that their client was entitled to a bond while the District Attorney’s Office pursues charges again.
The judge lowered McIver’s bond from about $2 million to nearly $15,000 on Monday.
The man from Weatherford is facing attempted capital murder, weapon and drug charges in connection to the March shooting, which critically injured Officer Matt Pearce.
McIver’s father was killed by police.
