DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News) Mosquitos in Denton are carrying around a newly-discovered virus. Trivittatus is not terribly dangerous to people, but can make you feel sick. Dr. Kenneth Banks with the city of Denton says most infected people will not have symptoms. Most others will experience only flu-like symptoms. Dr. Banks says the city came across the discovery because of all the trapping being done to fight the Zika virus. Only 5 positive samples of the virus have been found in Texas in the last 7 years.
