(WBAP/KLIF) — Over the next decade Denton County will see significant improvements to the I-35W access road.
The county received allocated funding of over $555-million for the project, which includes building out frontage roads from south of FM 11-71 to north of John Paine Road.
The project will also construct full interchanges at various points along I-35W. The funding was the result of collaborative efforts between Denton County, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the Regional Transportation Council.
The improvements aim to enhance public safety, improve mobility, and support economic vitality.
