(WBAP/KLIF) — DALLAS — WFAA News 8 — Southwest Airlines confirmed on Monday that one of its flight attendants died during a layover in Hawaii.
The flight attendant was identified as 44-year-old Jennifer Upton, and the Honolulu Police Department confirmed they are investigating the incident as an unattended death.
The airline has offered support to Upton’s family and co-workers and are engaged with local authorities as they investigate, the airline said.
“The Southwest Airlines family is deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague during a layover in Hawaii,” the statement reads.
