(WBAP/KLIF) – PLANO, TX -The Dallas Stars have announced plans to move the team out of Dallas, and build a new arena and entertainment district at The Shops at Willow Bend site in Plano. The proposed $1 billion dollar project is pending city council approval, and follows the Mavericks’ decision to leave the American Airlines Center. The move comes after legal disputes between the two A-A-C tenants and marks a significant shift in the sports landscape in the Dallas area. Construction is expected to begin in 2028 or 2029 for the 2031/2032 season.
