(WBAP/KLIF) – HIGHLAND PARK, TX – Highland park has unveiled its new micro-transit service to replace dart after the town voted to leave the transportation service. The city-controlled service known as Highland Park On-Demand, launches today, and will provide transportation within Highland Park and a one-mile radius beyond the cities borders. The new transit program will also cater to riders with mobility needs, and includes a connection to Mockingbird Station in Dallas. The decision to leave DART will have immediate impacts on commuters in the Park Cities area, as neighboring cities Addison and University Park opted to remain in DART’s service network.
