(WBAP/KLIF) – JOHNSON COUNTY, TX – The chief deputy of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was fired by Sheriff Adam King for failing to attend an internal affairs interview. The deputy, James Saulter, was under investigation for allegedly falsifying time sheets and other misconduct. Saulter was a witness in a sexual harassment case against Sheriff King, who faces charges of abuse of office and retaliation against a witness. Sheriff King had previously been on administrative leave but was allowed to return to work part-time after a hearing in October.
