PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – If your car or home is damaged from hail, hire someone with a good reputation to fix them.
State Farm’s Chris Pilcic recommends doing a lot of research before allowing a contractor or body shop to do repairs.
“You don’t want to pay anybody up front, you want to get everything in writing and you certainly don’t want to hire anybody who offers to pay your deductible in exchange for doing the work.”
He says several hundred hail damage claims from Wednesday night’s storms have already been filed and he expects that number to go up.
