MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF News) A Mesquite police 911 dispatcher managed to help a teen boy who couldn’t speak. He was suffering from heat stroke and unable to communicate with her, but Christy Russell used a new technology to locate him. Russell used the latitude-longitude tracking program in the department’s 911 system to find the boy’s location. Privacy laws prevented the release of any specific medical information, but Russell says she was told the boy was treated at the hospital and will be ok.
